....a role play sample (200+ words):
It had become apparent that nothing would come of their... coupling. Nori was swinging rapidly between relief and sorrow, because she wasn't sure they were ready, but there was something in the back of her mind that wanted it so desperately. Still, without a solid foundation, any pups they might have had would've struggled to thrive, and she knew it was an unfair thing to want on her part.
Next year, her brain whispered traitorously, and wasn't that a funny thing? When was the last time Nori had planned for anything in the future? She had vague wants here and there, and this solid knowledge that she was committed to this place, these wolves, and one in particular, but she hadn't thought of it so specifically. Next year, when the pack had been formed for a while. Next year, when the dust had settled and no one was grieving. Next year, when she and Leo...
Her face warmed at the thought. They'd promised forever, sure, and talked about love, but... what was this? What label should they put on what they had? Or did Leo not want any labels at all?
Nori, however, struggled. What was she supposed to call him? How would she even go about that? She'd already declared her love, so she supposed the hardest part was out of the way, but...
There was really only one way to find out, wasn't there?
It was well into the night when she worked up the courage to approach him, and while she felt guilty for disturbing his sleep, this felt too important to wait. Nori leaned in to nose at his cheek, hoping to wake him up gently, so he didn't think anything was wrong.
"Leo?" she murmured, burning all over. "Can we talk?"
and finally a bit about your character.... He's just chilling mostly. Or not.
