The floods in the west were nothing to the wolves of Fools Gold Chasm. In fact, with Sawyer lost to the wilds, Adelard had no means to know of the over-abundance of water. As it was, the Leader was figuratively stuck up in his tower, still sealed (safely) away from the rest of the world. The pack's only source of water still remained at Bramble Falls. It trickled but it was more than enough. Especially after the three days of torrential rainfall from a few days ago.
He had just finished coralling his brood on his way back from bringing some of the cubs out for a water-walk. It was with a heavy thump that his dusty, saddle-backed figure came to a sit at Woya's birthing den. Rhaegara's brood was more than old enough to rendevous to a larger space, but the Macieo-Gerau's were only nearly there. Adelard was nervous about moving them too early. The Chasm was dry with lots of room to play at present. Though, when the water returned to the underwater spring, it could only mean more headaches and exasperation.
Narrowed eyes fell on the lifted tail of one of his sons. With a bump of his nose to the little rump, he wedged the cub back into the den.
"Naptime now," he stated, tone firm. The twins were one thing but, with some of his offspring, he half-expected to jump out and nip. One more unrelenting order ought to set them all right. "Lay down. That means you, Anatole. Adora..."
