....a role play sample (200+ words):
The cold was almost entirely gone now. Rosemary no longer felt as though she was struggling to breathe, nor did fatigue make her limbs feel heavy, and her nose wasn't stuffed up. Surely Draco would have no issue with them moving on to find the Surge now! There really was nothing holding them back, except maybe Kiona being too tired. She could see that becoming an issue, especially because the older girl's sides had swelled so big and it must have been hard to carry all of that extra weight. It was a funny thing, Rosemary thought - why would anyone want to put themselves through something like that? Pregnancy seemed awful.
Another positive was that her sleep schedule had all but righted itself, and she was awake throughout the night again. Well, for the most part, anyway - she still stayed up a little too late, sometimes. Like now, for example - night was almost over and Rosemary was wide awake, subconsciously following the trail of her favorite friend.
Having Kiona around was nice, save for the strange protectiveness that made her think Rosemary was somehow in need of someone to watch her. Shame still prickled her cheeks at the thought of Draco being her guardian. His defense had made things a little better, but Rosemary couldn't help but feel like a burden rather than a companion. She didn't know what it was that made her crave so much to be an equal in his eyes, but that desire was there - she wanted to care for him just as much as he cared for her. She wanted to prove that she was capable, just as much as he was.
Though she supposed she hadn't done the best job of that, lately.
It was starting to rain by the time she caught up to him, his dark form sinking into the water. The initial spike of anxiety that hit her ebbed quickly when she realized he was not, in fact, drowning, and she barked once to let him know she was nearby, so hopefully she didn't spook him.
"Can I go swimming with you?" she asked hopefully, tail swishing behind her as the rain soaked into her fur like a sponge. It wasn't too cold, though - everything felt a lot warmer with spring settled in, and it would be warmer still in a few months, she knew. That was nice - something about the warmer weather made Rosemary's entire body feel lighter.
and finally a bit about your character.... His face looks like this: -.-
