Development Guide Update
Hello everyone! Staff have at last finished updating our Development Guide which covers a wolf's development from birth to 10 years of age. It retains most of the information originally compiled by the immensely talented Greyer, with the majority of adjustments being to the Puphood stages descriptions and the way Estimated Human Age is calculated. We feel that the changes made better align development between pups and children by giving a little more weight to language & cognitive development markers and sexual maturation milestones over gross motor skills. Some adjustments were also made to reflect changed understandings in both wolves and humans since the guide was first published (over 12 years ago!). If there are any questions, comments or concerns you'd like to share regarding these changes, please feel free to reach out to Staff by PMing us here on Spirit of Wildwood.Loading Issues / Site Modernization Underway
Most if not all of you have already seen our announcement on Discord, but we wanted to make sure the information was accessible here as well:Hey everyone,
We just wanted to give you a quick update. As I know you've all noticed, the site has been crashing for the past couple of weeks amd slow for the past few months. We are working on a fix right now, which involves running some pretty major updates on the site and modernizing a lot of our custom codes (everything from account switching to the LP system to REs to the separation between OOC, IC and library forums). While we are actively dedicating all the time we can to the modernization effort, this is something that is still going to take some time and we cannot run the updates on-site until we've modernized the code. It would break most functionality on the site and further hinder RP more than the current outages do.
We thank you all for your patience. Once we get the primary codes modernized, we may be able to update and continue RP while we work on some of the more minor to gameplay stuff, but please don't mind our dust in the meantime.
