With belief in the supernatural waning - and with old gods and goddesses falling out of favor entirely - worship as a source of power has reduced dramatically in recent decades. The Narrows provides a rare place where modern belief is not required to give a mythological creature their power: so long as they stay within the grasp of the mist, they are as strong as ever.

Narrowsgate, as a result, has established itself as something of a sanctuary for the supernatural, who still live furtively within its unknowing society - and the Narrows, while always a strange source of rumors and urban legends, now plays host to very real monsters in its fog...[/color]
